Depends on what map, how many people, and what you like.

Camping-

  Pros

                         -If you're with people.
                         -If you like it.
                         -If you're playing at Five.
-If you have good stuff / thunder gun, ray gun, winters fowl, etc.

                Cons

                         -If you're alone.
                         -If you don't like it.
-If you're playing at kino with all of the doors open.
-If you have bad weapons / ballistic knife, pistol, semi auto guns, etc.

Running Around-

       Pros

                                   -If you're alone.
                                   -If you're with people.
                                   -If you like it.
-If you're playing at kino with all of the doors open.

                          Cons

                                   -If you're playing at Five.
                                   -If you don't like it.

Well, you get it. Running around is potentially better, if you want to have fun and not sit there and watch zombies come after you and scare you when a runner comes charging at you. = )
P.S.- always get quick revive, if you get it every time after you go down, you'll pretty much never die. Also, Ascension's kinda' half and half on camping and running around. Always know your route, if you get stuck and surrounded, your dead, unless you have quick revive. = ) Mustang and sally baby ( hoorah ).

Its always a good idea to camp and rack up points but once you get to a certain level wether you've got back holes a thunder gun or if all you're guns are upgraded the zombies will stil keep coming, and eventuay you've got to reload lol, but by then you should try and plan a route you should take when things get a little to crazy and you can haul ass. Just remember to always know where you're headed and know the map. each map has its own escape plan ascension with the landers or five and kino with the teleporters, hope this helps! :

I think it is better to run around. Way easier to just gather up all the zombies then mow em down in huge burst. In the Ascension Map we camped and got to lvl 25 but when we ran around we lasted till round 30 so yeah I think running is better

i only like kino der toten personally, but in that i find that circuits are better, take the top route and keep running around, , sometimes i do this thing where i run clockwise around these two big things with a gap in the middle and there is a good strategy that goes with that but i cant do it properly, my highest round is level 16

First, get a car charger for your laptop so you can efficiently use a battery.

Next, get a marine deep discharge battery. They have them at Wal-Mart with 105 A-hr capacity for about $ 60 US, or a little bigger for quite a bit more. Deep discharging a typical car battery will kill it after just a few charges.

This should last for 40 or so hours of opertion for a typical laptop, much more for a low powered netbook. This should be enough for a short vacation. If you need more, you can charge from your car using cables, either from the battery or through the cigarette lighter or other wires (with the car running, of course).

If you don't have a vehicle, I would get a small generator <1kw for ~100 with a 12V charging circuit, and use that. Last choice would be a 50W or so solar panel if you use the laptop intermittently. Don't forget the solar panel requires an electronic box with a charge controller. Harbor freight has some for not too much money.

If you are charging it, a small digital multimeter can be used to determine charging current (put a small resistor, 1Ohm or less in series) by measuring the current across a resistor. Also, the voltage of 13.6V or so when the charger is taken off indicates full charge. Good luck!

I really liked camping on Kelley's Island, in Lake Erie, above Sandusky, Ohio. Nice state park right on the beach, only about $ 25 a night, free outdoor movies for the kids, and the great lake sounds almost like the ocean at night. Poor man's beach trip!
