Question by Atheist Frog: Is there really any big difference involving Harold Camping and the regular US fundie christian?
Fundie evangelicals will talk ’til they’re blue in the face about how Camping is a phoney, but the two Camping and the suitable-winger fundies who contact him a fraud all feel we’re in the “finish times.” The only variation is Camping committed to a specific date and the garden-wide range mainstream fundies haven’t. Is this the only true distinction, or am I missing a little something?

Atheists and Camping the two think there is no Hell. Guess he’s YOUR bed fellow, not ours, Sparky.

well, at least the bible gives signs of the end of times. It doesn’t give a date and even says that no one will know.
He’s a little crazier than most, but had access to large amounts of cash. Perhaps he is a better Christian preacher in separating people’s money from their wallets. You can bet, many pastors will emulate his method and style.
He’s nuts and so is anyone who goes along with that type of thinking . . . no matter how remote.

Their only difference is Camping has a due date whereas the others don’t.
God’s living word tells us about the end times and it seems that we could be in those end times now, but how long they will last befor the end or even setting a date for the end is totally against God’s word.
He has told us we will know the season but no one but God knows the day.
Therefore to say we are in the end times is OK as long as you don’t say when the end will be. It could be tomorrow or it could be 1000000000 years time.
